Adult Learning at Peace Portal Alliance Church

Growing as a Christian is not simply learning facts or doctrine. Nor is it only about 'doing church'. Being a child of God means learning to live the truth of His character in everyday life.  Adult Education classes are designed to offer support and helping ministries, training for ministry and service, and in-depth Bible-based studies on a diverse range of topics. There are also gender-specific ministries that seek to meet the unique needs of both women and men.   Contact info for a current course selection is listed below.

Celebrate Recovery

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Do you stuggle with hurts, habits, or hang-ups?  We've all been hurt, and we've hurt others.  The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to provide a safe place to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives from addictive and compulsive behaviour through 8 recovery principles found in the Beatitudes, and 12 Christ-centered steps.  Come and celebrate what's been found and recover what was lost.

Tuesday, February 28, 7:00-9:00pm – MaryAnne Connor, founder and president of NightShift Street Ministries, speaks on poverty in the Lower Mainland and our call to action locally.  $10.

Tuesday, March 27, 7:00-9:00pm – Dr. Joseph D’Souza, founder of the Dalit Freedom Network, defines justice in a Christian worldview. $10

Friday, April 13, 7:00-9:00pm – Ari Rocklin, International Director of GLOBAL Opportunities Canada, discusses tentmaking ministries in closed countries. $10

Saturday, May 12, 9:00am-4pm – Gary Roosma teaches the KOINOS – Global Missions 101 seminar.  Better understand Missions today by diving into an overview of how the Gospel spread throughout the world from a handful of believers to a multicultural, trans-national movement encircling the globe. $20
