WELCOME TO ZION YOUTH

ZION YOUTH MINISTRY

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released, the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord's favor has come.

Isaiah 61:1-2/Luke 4:18-19

This was a scripture that God brought to us at our first leaders meeting, and has become our vision for the youth ministry at PPAC. As a youth leadership team, we feel The Spirit is calling us to go deep this fall. Deep in our knowledge of Him and who He has called us to be, deep in our worship experience, deep in our study and interaction with the Word of God, deep in our reliance on the leading of the Spirit, and also deep in our relationships with each other as we grow together. The coming school year will be a time to form a strong foundation for the next few years of our youth ministry. God is calling us to provide an environment and foster relationships that inspire, encourage and challenge students to become disciples of Jesus who are growing as influencers and "seed sowers" of the gospel.

Within the vision there are four areas in which God is leading us to grow...

YOUTH LEADERSHIP

To train, equip and strengthen our youth leaders, for they are the real ministers who make this happen.  That they would be diligent in their own walk with God, listening to Him and learning.  As a leadership team we have spent lots of time in sessions with the leaders training and equipping them.

WORSHIP

Each Thursday night, a significant portion of time will be set aside for worship; so Students get ready for some amazing times of worship through different forms, each week we will have music, but we will also have creative ways to express our Worship.  So come ready to experience God/

PARENT MINISTRY

We as a Youth Ministry want to come beside the parents in supporting them, in a variety of different forms and venues.

Encounter Retreat

This Encounter Retreat 2008 was the most amazing retreat I have ever been to.  Just want to first say thank you to all who came and participated, we had 70 people come out to the Encounter Retreat, and no regrets, for the LORD did amazing things among us, "for the LORD has started such a great work".

We defenetly did ENCOUNTER God much like Saul (Paul) and many other people from the Bible.

"we are FOREVER CHANGED, NEVER THE SAME".
